About The Pros

USPTA Elite teaching pro Jarred Grimes, Tennis Director & Head Tennis Professional, became the owner of Northeast Mississippi Tennis Academy in 2019. Originally a golf player Jarred picked up tennis at Pontotoc High School and trained with Ole Miss Assistant Tennis Coach, Whitt Taber in Oxford. He went on to play at Itawamba Community College (2008-2009). He continued his training at Advantage Tennis Academy with Brandon Fallon and played satellite tennis tournaments where he was recruited to play tennis, be team captain, and the Women’s Assistant Tennis Coach at John Brown University (2010-2011). He finished his collegiate tennis career at William Carey University (2012-2013); NAIA ranking #5. After college he was a Tennis and Golf Pro at Arizona Tennis and Golf Academy in Phoenix, AZ. He came back to Mississippi in 2014 to join Tupelo Tennis Academy where he built the junior program. Jarred is excited to bring more tournaments and events back to the Rob Leake Tennis Facility with Northeast Mississippi Tennis Academy.

Elise Otis (10 & Under Teaching Pro) recently retired educator with Tupelo School District Elise is excited to help NEMS grow young tennis players. She was Tupelo High Schools Assistant Tennis Coach and is an avid tennis player herself! Email us for your little one to get on her lesson schedule!
